Corporate News 17 de January de 2024

ITC Packaging, a benchmark in the Spanish rigid packaging market, takes a new strategic step towards the future by getting into the thermoformed packaging sector. The company from Ibi recently announced the incorporation of its first thermoformed packaging line, a crucial decision that will strengthen its position in the industry, which will enable it to supply an even bigger range of packaging solutions to its customers.

The introduction of the new thermoformed packaging line is part of the ambitious strategic plan of ITC Packaging, designed to position the company as being a benchmark in global packaging solutions. With the incorporation of this new technology, ITC will significantly increase its range of products, to round off its already diversified portfolio.

Recently, ITC Packaging announced a major organisational restructuring in the company focusing its key areas of activity on diversification, internationalization and expansion. Its entry into the thermoformed packaging sector is part of this new strategy that advocates investment and the creation of this new division in order to satisfy the needs of its customers.

ITC currently has 3 production centres located in the towns of Ibi (Alicante) and Sopelana (Vizcaya). The new thermoformed packaging line will be added to the ITC Packaging industrial park in the first quarter of 2024, which includes more than 50 robotic IML (In-Mould Labelling) injectors to produce thin wall packaging and more than 10 PET (single and two-step) blow moulding stations.

According to Rafael Brotons, the CEO of ITC Packaging: “We are thrilled with the start of this new chapter in our history. Getting into the thermoformed packaging market is a great milestone for ITC Packaging. We are committed to innovation and the service supplied to our customers, which is why the incorporation of this line will enable us to provide solutions that are even more customised to suit their needs”.

With this new addition, ITC Packaging demonstrates its commitment once again to investment and its positioning as a strategic partner when it comes to developing new packaging solutions.
