COVAP, the perfect family
Customised Packaging 11 de October de 2019COVAP (Pedroches Valley Livestock Cooperative as per its Spanish acronym) is a livestock cooperative founded in 1959 when a group of livestock farmers decided to join forces in order to centralise the purchase of raw materials and cattle breeding. Today, COVAP farms expand across some of the largest and most densely tree populated natural habitats in the Iberian peninsula, known as the meadows. An unbeatable environment among 740,000 acres of holm oak groves in which to breed livestock. This is where COVAP produces a wide range of dairy and meat products that are renowned by the character and flavour of their soil and the meadow’s unique micro climate.
Recently, COVAP enlisted ITC Packaging to assist in an ambitious project that would become the first to be developed jointly by both companies. It consisted in developing their entire range of butter tubs under the brand Hacendado commercialised by Mercadona, comprising 4 varieties: unsalted, salted, light and lactose free.
This series included 4x250g tubs with IML decoration in both the lid and the packaging, forming a highly attractive bundle thanks to the colour codes applied to both the lid and the IML decoration, allowing buyers to clearly identify each of the varieties on the shelves while capturing their attention. A range of fully thermo sealable packaging manufactured from PP that is also environmentally friendly, since they are recyclable.
In this project , ITC Packaging has applied all their experience and know-how in the development of unique packaging solutions for the dairy industry, thus strengthening its market position as a benchmark firm after launching countless packaging projects throughout the years for products including cheese, butter, cream, yoghurt and milk powder, to name a few.
