ITC Packaging attains the AA+ grade of the BRC certification
Corporate News 11 de September de 2023The AA+ grade is the maximum rating from the BRC, which is only attained through unannounced audits and it acknowledges the excellent quality system of the ITC and Advanced PET plants.
The BRC certification is the most popular standard among the manufacturers of food, pharmaceuticals and cosmetics, it is considered to be the reference trademark to guarantee the quality and the safety of packaging. ITC has been awarded this seal of quality continuously since 2006, by guaranteeing the safety, legality and quality of the packaging in its production plants.
Recently, the PET injection blow-moulding plants of ITC Packaging in the town of Ibi have been awarded the AA+ grade; the maximum rating of the BRC certification and it is only attained through unannounced audits. Thanks to complying with this protocol, ITC Packaging satisfies the requirements of its customers in terms of the management of risks, personnel, facilities, quality, product safety, monitoring processes and products.
Obtaining this top rating is part of the actions established in the strategic plan, which is intended to promote the implementation of a complete quality system that pays special attention to sustainability and it is rounded off with the ISO 14001:2015 certification and the ISCC Plus certification scheme.
The ISO 14001:2015 certification acknowledges the ITC environmental management system, which includes both processes and facilities and it recognizes the thorough environmental action plan developed by ITC.
As for the ISCC Plus certification scheme, it is a leading protocol in the transition towards a circular economy, through a certification system of the whole value chain involved in launching packaging on the market. Thanks to this certification the traceability of the raw materials is guaranteed, by ensuring their sustainable origin and by promoting the circular economy. This certification has enabled ITC to make new packaging with recycled raw material, which is food safe and also with bio-based materials.
