ITC Packaging received the ISO 14001 certification as well as renewing its BRC seal
Corporate News 24 de March de 2020ITC Packaging’s commitment towards providing a comprehensive quality service to include all its products and processes has been once more acknowledged by two certifications: our achievement of the ISO 14001:2005 seal and the renewal of our BRC certification for both injection production plants at Ibi and Sopelana.
ITC Packaging has achieved its ISO 14001:2005 certification in regards to the implementation of an environmental management system that includes both its processes and facilities from an environmental responsibility point of view. In this case, the certificate has acknowledged our exhaustive analysis of all possible hazards and the action plans implemented by ITC Packaging to correct them.
On the other hand, we have recently renewed our ‘BRC for Packaging’ certification at our Ibi plant with an AA score, the highest possible rating for scheduled audits. This certification, that we have continuously held since 2006, guarantee the safety, legality and quality of all packaging manufactured at our ITC Packaging production plants.
Considered as the benchmark framework to ensure packaging quality and safety, the BRC (British Retail Consortium) certification is the most demanded standard by manufacturers of food, pharmaceutical and cosmetic products. By demonstrating our compliance with this standard, ITC Packaging has met all the requirements demanded by its customers in terms of risk management, staff, facilities, quality, product safety, product and process control, etc.
ITC Packaging is subject to at least ten external audits every year that are undertaken by our customers, global benchmark brands and main market players. However, thanks to the implementation of a structured, comprehensive quality process, this constant demand ensures compliance with quality standards sustained over time.
By obtaining this certification as part of the company’s strategic plan, we are able to promote the implementation of a comprehensive quality system with a special focus on respecting the environment and sustainability.
